ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The University of Michigan stayed put at number three of the newest College Football Playoff rankings.
The Wolverines earned a last-minute 19-17 win over Illinois last weekend to improve to 11-and-0.
The top four teams are remain the same. Georgia is once again leading the nation as the number one team. The Bulldogs are followed by Ohio State, Michigan and TCU. These are the only undefeated teams remaining in the FBS.
Tennessee dropped from fifth to 10th after losing to South Carolina.
U of M will now attempt to defeat bitter rival and number two ranked Ohio State for the second season in a row in their matchup this Saturday.
There is no update yet on running back and Heisman candidate Blake Corum’s status as he is dealing with a left knee injury. He was sidelined for much of the second half in Saturday’s win over Illinois.
