MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Western Michigan Broncos have defeated the rival Central Michigan Chippewas in a snowy game in Mount Pleasant Wednesday night.
WMU was trailing 10-7 with four minutes left in the game when defensive end Andre Carter sacked Central quarterback Burt Emanuel for a safety to close the score to 10-9.
Bronco freshman kicker Palmer Domschke hit a 25-yard field coal with less than two minutes in the game for a 12-10 lead for Western, and the Broncos sealed the win with an interception on Central’s last possession.
