HOPKINS, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 11, 2022) – A 14-year-old Burnips area boy was missing but is now found safe and sound, and the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department is thanking the public for helping to make that so.
Curran Edward Putnam hadn’t been seen since walking near his home in the area of 137th Avenue and 28th Street around 2:45 PM on Thursday. The 5-6, 110-pound youth, with brown curly hair, blue eyes and braces, was believed to have been wearing gray sweat pants, a brown hoodie, a white checkered fall coat, and multi-colored Nike brand shoes at the time of his disappearance.
Just before 12 Noon on Friday, word came from Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Mike Martin that Putnam was found in Hopkins earlier in the morning and was returned home to his parents. “The sheriff’s office and family want to thank you for your assistance with locating Curran,” Martin said in a department statement.
