HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 10, 2022) – In Europe and elsewhere, November 11th is known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day, but in America, Friday is the annual Veterans Day holiday.
That means a number of ceremonies and commemorations for those who have served their country, but not at Holland High School. The 85th renewal of the traditional event for the school and the community will be held on Thursday afternoon, according to district Superintendent Nick Cassidy.
Radio coverage on 99 7/1450 WHTC, whtc.com and on the WHTC smartphone app from the Dutch Dome begins at 1 PM. Friday Veterans Day ceremonies for the community include an 8:45 AM event at West Ottawa High School, a 9 AM event at Holland Christian High, and a 7 PM event at the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place.
