Roger L. Beckman, age 93 of Holland, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Holland.

Roger was born in Holland on October 19, 1929, to Gerritt and Johanna (Van Voorst) Beckman. Roger graduated from Holland High School, then entered the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War, with fond memories of playing basketball on his ship. Following his discharge, he earned his BBA from Hope College in 1955. He worked for various companies in West Michigan mainly as a purchasing agent before retiring. Roger loved the Michigan Wolverines, his dogs, and playing or watching the game of golf, but most importantly cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Colette on April 20, 2022; his parents; brothers Robert Beckman and Stanley Beckman; Sister Carol Schermer; and brother-in-law John Jacobs.

Roger is survived by his 3 sons Timothy Beckman, David (Quyen) Beckman, and Anthony Beckman; grandchildren Mai Beckman and Cameron Beckman; brothers Allen Beckman, and Gary (Ruth) Beckman, Sister Arlene Jacobs; many extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Roger’s life will be Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 4-7:00 pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
