HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Nov. 1, 2022) – The NEA Big Read Lakeshore, organized by Hope College, will kick off its program of over 100 events this week and continue for the next three weeks. In their ninth year, the program’s selected books are Madeline Miller’s Circe, Homer’s The Oddyssey, and Matt de la Peña’s Last Stop on Market Street.
The program officially kicks off on Tuesday, November 1st at 7pm with “Why Read Greek Mythology?” by Dr. Stephen Maiullo, Hope College faculty. The event will take place in the Maas Center auditorium at Hope College.
This year, the programs will host in-person author visits after a few years of virtual visits due to the pandemic.
