ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 28, 2022) – The US Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration is gearing up for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.
The 23rd semi-annual event offers anonymous disposal of unwanted medications at more than four thousand local drop off locations nationwide, providing an easy chance to dispose of medicines in people’s homes that may be misused or stolen. Some sites, such as Corewell Health-Zeeland Hospital, are going one step further, according to Daniel Gardner, a prevention specialist with Community Mental Health of Ottawa County.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day takes place from 10 AM to 2 PM, with an online link to participating locations here.
