Lee loved his Lord and his family with all his heart. According to his loved ones, the three most important things to him were his Church, his Family, and Music. He will be remembered by all of them for his selfless nature, kind heart, and passion for travel. His grandchildren will miss the fun times together playing Wii Bowling, and his children will miss his joy of sharing his favorite music with them and the memory of him watching Judge Judy.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie & Bertha (Baker) Ellis; and all of his siblings: Juanita Fuller, William Ellis, Charles Ellis, James Ellis, Lena Louge.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Amy (Mitchell) Ellis; his children: Juanita “Nita” DeVries, and Greg Ellis (Beth Rosenberg); grandchildren: Christina, Sarah, Justin, Kanoa, and April; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A formal visitation honoring Lee will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. For guests planning to attend, an opening prayer will take place at the start of visitation, and closing prayer will be held ten minutes prior to the end. A private family burial will be held in East Saugatuck Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Lee would appreciate a contribution to Big Jackson Church of God Missions, 4001 East 13 Mile Road, Paris, Michigan.
