LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 19, 2022) – The office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer was busy on Tuesday announcing a number of appointments to fill vacancies on various state boards and commissions.
Three of those endorsed by the East Lansing Democrat have ties to the Lakeshore. Laura Mammen of Hudsonville, the clinical program manager of family preservation services at DA Blodgett of St. John’s in Grand Rapids, will serve a four-year term on the Michigan Board of Counseling. Michael Bosch of Hamilton, co-owner of Eding Brothers Celery Farm, and Mitchell Schreur of Hudsonville, farm manager at Schreur Farms, were both reappointed to the Michigan Onion Committee; Bosch for one year and Schreur for three years.
The Governor’s appointments must be approved by the state Senate before they take effect.
