OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 17, 2022) – What’s in a name?
In Ottawa County, as everywhere else in Michigan for now 103 years, dogs need to be licensed at the age of four months and older, with proof of a rabies vaccination by a veterinarian, with the treasurer’s office in the 83 counties keeping track of all this.
At the time of issuing the license, the name of the canine is registered. This past Friday, the Ottawa County Treasurer’s Office released the most popular dog names for Fiscal 2022 that ended on September 30th, led by Bella, followed by Luna, Charlie, Daisy, Lucy, Bailey, Buddy, Max, Molly and Cooper. The most popular breed is the Labrador Retriever, followed by the Golden Retriever, the German Shepherd, the Goldendoodle, and the Chihuahua.
