LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 14, 2022) – Speciality courts in Michigan are getting some funds from Lansing.
The state Court Administrative Office on Thursday awarded a total of nearly $17 million in grants during Fiscal 2023 for 204 “problem-solving” local courts aimed at reducing crime, boosting employment, and saving lives. Paul Kraus, an associate prosecutor in the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office, explains what drug/sobriety, mental health and veterans treatment courts do.
Kraus is running against Mercedes Watts on November 8th for a newly-created seat on the 20th Circuit Court bench that would focus on family-related matters.
