HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 10, 2022) – A 13-year veteran of the Holland Department of Public Safety’s Police Services has received an honor from his peers.
Last week in a special ceremony, Chief Matt Messer named Jason Bannatyne as the department’s Reserve Officer of the Year. Comments by his colleagues who nominated him for the award include, “A great reserve who flies under the radar,” “(he) regularly fills details, trains seriously, engages with the community and performs his duties with professionalism,” and “(he) continues to be dedicated to the HDPS reserve unit.”
Bannatyne, who works full-time at Perrigo in Allegan, will represent the reserve unit a various functions for the next year as part of receiving this honor.
