HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 15, 2022) – Holland Charter Township’s spending plan for 2023 could be in place after tonight.
The Township Board is expected to approve a proposed $21.9 million budget with an additional $1.3 million special revenue outlay. This will be done without increasing the current 4.86 mill property tax rate, thanks in part to nearly five million dollars in state shared revenues. However, the township is expecting to raise water use charges by one percent. Also in the spending plan are projected major capital improvements of $1.5 million for roads, 971 thousand for non-motorized paths, and 245 thousand for the drain system.
Board members are also expected to approve a rezoning request of around 10 acres of land off of 140th Avenue just north of the middle school campus for a 120-unit, eight-building apartment complex that includes a playground, gazebo, and basketball court.
Tonight’s meeting is slated for 7 PM at the Township hall off of 120th Avenue south of James Street.
