HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 6, 2022) – The second “Candidate Meet & Greet” session of the 2022 General Election season by the League of Women Voters of the Holland Area is set for Wednesday evening.
From 6:30 to 7:45 PM at the Herrick District Library on River Avenue, the candidates for three Ottawa County Board seats will have the opportunity to present their cases for election among those attending. Similar to a previous “Meet & Greet” session involving state legislative hopefuls in Douglas last week, the more-relaxed format would allow the candidates (or team members if they cannot attend in person) to field questions directly from the audience instead of having the queries filtered through a moderator, and campaign literature will also be on hand.
The invited candidates include:
- District 1: Republican Gretchen Cosby and Democrat Danielle Smith
- District 2: Republican Lucy Ebel and Democrat Joe Spaulding
- District 3: Republican Daniela Garcia and incumbent Democrat Doug Zylstra
This “Meet & Greet” session is free and open to the public.
