Howard K. Weener left his earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 93 on August 26, 2022. Howard passed away peacefully at home in Zeeland under the care of his family and Emmanuel Hospice. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Noreen, two daughters, Sharlene Weener and Pamela Elhart; a son, Larry Weener; a sister, Dorene Terpstra; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wolters and Vonnie Vanden Berg and brothers-in-law, Gene Wolters, Chuck Hoezee and Pete Zwagerman.
Howard was an active lifelong member of South Olive Christian Reformed Church and after retirement, volunteered at Bibles for Mexico.

Howard was employed for many years at Eagle Ottawa Leather Company in Grand Haven and retired after 15 years of service at Herman Miller in Zeeland. He had a passion for walleye fishing at Burt Lake, bowling in the winter, and golfing with his wife Noreen during their winter months in Florida.
He is survived by his daughter Laurie and Russ Boeve, his son, Harlen and Faith Weener; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; his sisters, Hazel (Dave) Becksfort, Loie (John) Van Wienen; sisters-in-law Muriel Hoezee, Myra (Les) Luurtsema, Viv (Bill) Zwyghuizen, Ruth Magnell, Donna (Ron) Boersema and Joie Zwagerman; brothers-in-law Sherwin Terpstra and Bern Vanden Berg.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 30 from 5 to 7 pm at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 31 at South Olive Christian Reformed Church, 6425 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan. Pastor Douglas Fauble will officiate, and the interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
