HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 16, 2022) – To accommodate Hope College as they move in students for the 2022-23 school year, the following road closures, traffic changes and no parking orders will be in effect from Friday Aug 26th through Sunday, August 28th, 2022.
Traffic Flow Changes (7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.):
East 10th Street, between College Ave. & Columbia Ave, one-way traffic westbound only
East 13th Street, between College Ave. & Columbia Ave, one-way traffic eastbound only
Columbia Ave between East 9th Street &10th Street-closed for unloading, traffic to enter area from 10th Street and exit on 9th Street only.
All intersections must remain open.
No Parking to be posted in the following areas (7:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.):
East 10th Street, between College & Columbia-temporary no parking both sides
East 13th Street, between College & Columbia-temporary no parking both sides
Special Instructions:
Holland Police Department will drop off barricades to be set up and removed by Hope College Campus Safety Dept.
1 Street Closed Sign (sawhorse type) at 13th & Columbia.
1 Street Closed Sign (sawhorse type) at 10th & College.
Any City of Holland barricades that go missing will be billed to Hope College.
One Holland Police Reserve Officer will assist Hope College Campus Safety Department with traffic control at the corner of 10th St & Columbia Ave, and at 9th St & Columbia Ave. from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and bill Hope College for those services.
Holland Police Dept. will provide Temporary No Parking signs and stakes to Hope College.
No Parking wood stakes will be placed by Hope College personnel.
Hope College Campus Safety will staple cardboard signs on stakes with hours of parking restrictions.
