GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – A Hudsonville teen is dead after a single vehicle rollover crash in Ottawa County’s Georgetown Township Monday afternoon.
At 2:05 pm, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, along with other responding agencies, was called to the area of Bauer Road, east of 40th Ave in Georgetown Township regarding a one vehicle crash. Reports to dispatch were that the vehicle had rolled several times and was blocking the roadway.
Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle on its top, blocking Bauer Road, just east of 40th Ave. A 16 year old female from Hudsonville was found to be the driver of the vehicle and was later pronounced as deceased on scene by LIFE Ambulance staff.
The vehicle was westbound when, for unknown reasons, police say it left the roadway and entered the ditch on the north side of Bauer Road. The vehicle then struck a driveway and culvert, causing the vehicle to go airborne and flip several times.
The crash is under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
