He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; his children: Kimbra and Wayne Van Noord, and Lora and Steve Overweg; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Nicole and Erik Sellen (Neilah and Natalia), Brandon and Cara Van Noord (Dominic, Leighton, Axel, and Easton), Colin and Alyse Overweg, and Morgan and Alec Sennertt; his siblings: Robert and Nancy Van Koevering, and Ruth and Carl Slenk; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Martin and Verna De Jong and Dorothy and Nick Bouma.
Cal was born in Zeeland on March 8, 1945, to Stan and Julia Van Koevering. He was an air equipment salesman. Keeping busy and working was Cal’s hobby. He was a handyman for his family, his neighbors, and especially to all on Nettle’s Island in Florida where he and Carol spent their winters. Cal and Carol were members of Beechwood Church in Holland
A time of visitation will be Saturday from 10-11:30 am Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 am.
