PARK TOWNSHIP, MIM (WHTC AM/FM) – A 22-year-old Holland man was killed just before midnight Tuesday, after he apparently lost control of his speeding motorcycle and crashed on Ottawa Beach Road, east of Counts Cove in Park Township.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says it appears the 2008 Yamaha sport bike was travelling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash, which was called in at 11:57 p.m.
The operator of the bike suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. There were no other vehicles involved and no passengers on the motorcycle.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s Office.
