OLIVE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A man who reportedly stabbed his female partner to death near Holland Monday evening is in custody this morning.
The stabbing happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 6200 block of 120th Avenue near Port Sheldon Street in Olive Township. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to the home after receiving a call about the assault.
First responders found the 32-year-old Quinn Arielle Hallacy dead “apparent knife wounds,” according to the sheriff’s office.
The suspect, a 45-year-old man whose name hasn’t been released yet, drove away from the scene but was later arrested in Holland. He was brought to the hospital with minor injuries and then taken to the Ottawa County Jail.
The sheriff’s office says the victim and her alleged assailant were in a domestic relationship.
Three kids who were in the home during the assault were not injured. Police are working with Child Protective Services.
