GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will be in Grand Rapids Monday to highlight new investments under the Department of Transportation’s Airport Terminals Grant program.
A grant for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport will support a terminal gate expansion project, install eight new and more accessible passenger boarding bridges, and improve the airport’s energy efficiency.
Michigan’s U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters made the announcement of the $8,687,870 federal grant Thursday.
Secretary Buttigieg is scheduled to hold a news conference Monday to discuss the investment.
