HOLLAND, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – While fireworks in Holland will be Monday, July 4, there are a number of other displays in the area over the holiday weekend.
Fireworks will be set off over Lake Macatawa Monday, sponsored by the member organizations of the Macatawa Area Coordinating Council and hosted by the city of Holland. Viewing is at dusk at Kollen Park, 240 Kollen Park Drive.
The David and Carol Van Andel Family Foundation also sponsors a fireworks display on Lake Michigan. Fireworks are set off from the south side of Holland Harbor and public viewing is at Holland State Park, which will stay open late on July 4 for the fireworks.
Other displays around the area include July 2 in downtown Muskegon and Ah-Nab-Awen-Park in Grand Rapids, July 3 in Allegan and South Haven, and July 4 at Grand Haven’s Lynn Sherwood Waterfront Stadium and in Saugatuck.
In the city of Holland, fireworks are legal from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. June 29 through July 4. Children must be supervised by an adult, and fireworks may not be set off on public property, such as streets and sidewalks and at schools.
