Hudsonville post office closed over suspicious package

HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC AM/FM) – A suspicious package found by an employee at the U.S. Post Office in Hudsonville turned out to be a false alarm Monday.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was called to the post office at 3333 Central Blvd at 4:47 p.m. to investigate the suspicious package that was found at the facility.

The incident was turned over to the Postal Inspector, who arrived on scene and determined the package was empty and not a threat.

The post office was closed for a short period of time while the incident was investigated.
