BOSTON, MA (WKZO AM/FM) – Trevor Story lifted the Boston Red Sox to a third win in a row, as the second baseman went one-for-three with a three-run homer in his team’s 5-4 victory over the Detroit Tigers at Fenway Park Tuesday night.
Rich Hill improved his record on the mound to 3-and-4 after allowing three runs over five innings of work. Christian Vazquez also went deep in the win for the Sox.
Beau Brieske suffered his sixth loss of the season after allowing four runs in five innings.
Javier Baez and Jonathan Schoop hit homers for Detroit, which falls to 26-and-42. The Red Sox are now 38-and-31.
The final game of the three game series at Fenway Park is set for tonight, with a 7:10 p.m. opening pitch.
