HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, June 15, 2022) – Two primary care health facilities, one of which is unaffiliated with either Spectrum Health or Holland Hospital, opens this week along the Lakeshore.
The WellNow Urgent Care building off of James Street at US-31 on Holland’s North Side will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM daily, beginning today, to handle walk in cases and scheduled appointments for non-life threatening ailments, as well as handling occupational health matters and testing. The Chicago-based company operates over 120 such centers, from New York State west to Illinois, since its founding 10 years ago, including one off of Allegan Street in Plainwell and nine others in Michigan.
The building is on land in front of Neils’ Dutch Village complex, and was constructed on the site of a former car wash/fueling station that also now houses a fast-food restaurant.
This is the second such opening of a primary care facility along the Lakeshore this week. Yesterday, Holland Hospital announced the opening of its new office on Beacon Boulevard (US-31) north of Robbins Road in Grand Haven. It’s in the shadow of the North Ottawa Community Hospital complex, similar in proximity to a walk-in clinic Holland Hospital has off of Business 196 and 84th Avenue near Spectrum Health-Zeeland Community Hospital’s campus.
