Evan Maday Named to D3baseball All-America First Team
Hope College center fielder Evan Maday delivered one of the finest seasons in NCAA Division III baseball this spring as well as one of the best in the Flying Dutchmen’s entire team history. The fifth-year senior earned All-America First Team honors from D3baseball.com after batting a career-best .436, belting a career-high 11 home runs and playing nearly flawless defense.
Maday is Hope’s fourth All-American in baseball and second first-team selection.
The Grand Rapids, Michigan native is one of three outfielders chosen to the first team and one of 16 first-team honorees.
Maday (East Kentwood HS) joined as All-Americans Ryan Konkle (2016), Paul Terpstra (1965), and Ron Venhuizen (1963). Venhuizen was a first-team honoree.

Madison Micho Invited to Play in IWLCA Senior All-Star Games
Hope College’s Madison Micho has been selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Senior All-Star games this weekend in Sparks, Maryland. The midfielder from Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) is one of 44 Division III student-athletes invited to participate. Micho is on the North roster.
The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. The Division III game will take the field at 11 a.m. The Division I game follows at 12:45 p.m. The Division II game concludes the all-star festivities at 2:45 p.m.
Micho is Hope’s first Senior All-Game participant.
