UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM, May 27, 2022) – Miguel Cabrera’s RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning enabled the Tigers to upend the visiting Cleveland Guardians last night, 4-3. It was a terrible Thursday for both of Chicago’s teams. In Cincinnati, Kyle Farmer hit two homers and drove in five runs as the Reds romped past the visiting Cubs, 20-5, while the White Sox fell to visiting Boston, 16-7, as Trevor Story homered and drove in four runs for the Red Sox. Both of Chicago’s teams have this evening off before facing each other at Guaranteed Rate Field tomorrow night.

The Whitecaps and visiting Dayton split a pair of games last night. Four Dragons pitchers allowed two hits with 10 strikeouts in a 5-0 triumph of the contest that had been suspended from Wednesday due to weather. In the regularly-scheduled match, Austin Murr’s two-run double in the sixth inning broke a 6-6 tie as West Michigan prevailed, 9-6. The series at LMCU Ballpark in Comstock Park continues this evening.
