HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 19, 2022) – The future of transportation along the Lakeshore was on display yesterday.
The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council held a pair of open house sessions at its headquarters on Holland’s North Side to unveil its four-year Transportation Improvement Program blueprint that covers “the most immediate implementation priorities for transportation projects,” but don’t call it a “wish list,” according to MACC Transportation Planner Alec Miller, who drew up the document.
“We have now 25 road projects, pavement projects,” Miller said, “but overall, we’re up to 104 projects. Those vary from transportation capital, transportation operating expenses such as buying new buses for MAX Transit, buying new office equipment, or even grants for us to do our work here are included. Everying in our ‘TIP’ is accounted for.”
