HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 15, 2022) – The 93rd Tulip Time Festival will go into the history books after today’s final day of events and attractions.
Those wishing for a Sunday morning walk through Window on the Waterfront Park can enjoy a Walking Tour from 8:30 AM to 12 Noon, with a VIP Walking Tour there from 11 AM to 3:30 PM. At 10 AM, festival staffers will be selling potted tulips at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, due to the fact that the Tulip Immersion Garden there had to close a day early due to the effects of warmer-than-normal temperatures on the stars of the show there.
The Zeeland Girl Exhibit is at the Holland Armory from 10 AM to 4 PM, while the Tulip Time Quilt Show resumes at 12 Noon following services at Beechwood Church. The Carnival winds up its run and the entire festival’s nine-day run from 1 to 8 PM at the parking lot of the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place.
An online link to more information on Tulip Time is here, while an announcement as to when the bulbs at the Tulip plantings on Windmill Island Gardens and at Window on the Waterfront Park can be dug up to support the Holland in Bloom urban beautification effort will be made later this month.
While attendance numbers for the paid events and estimates for the free attractions won’t be disclosed until later this summer, festival officials have expressed optimism that the popularity of Holland’s annual signature event in 2022 will have returned to pre-COVID levels, based on observations made over the past fortnight.
