HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 13, 2022) – A 28-year-old Holland man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with an SUV collided on Holland’s North Side on Thursday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Ryan DeVries, deputes and other first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and North Park Drive at 1:38 PM. That was where Christopher Nagle, piloting his motorcycle eastbound, collided with a westbound SUV, driven by a 66-year-old woman from the downriver Detroit suburb of Southgate, who was attempting to turn left.
Even though he was helmeted, Nagle passed away from his critical injuries shortly after he was admitted to an undisclosed hospital, while the woman had minor ailments that was treated at an undisclosed medical facility.
In the Friday morning update notifying the public of Nagle’s death, Sheriff’s Sergeant Mike VanDenBosch said that, although the crash remains under investigation, “drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors at this time.”
