DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Thanks to the one week delay to the start of the baseball season due to the off season lockout, the Detroit Tigers and Oakland A’s will play an unusual doubleheader today at Comerica Park.
Detroit was scheduled to play in Oakland during the opening week of the season but the series was wiped out by the season’s delay. To make up for one of the games that were not played in Oakland, the A’s will be the home team for the first game today at Comerica Park with the Tigers being the home team in the second game.
The opening pitch for the first game is set for 1:10 p.m., with the second game to start at 4:40 p.m.
