Myra L. Tyink, age 84, of Holland, went to meet her Lord and Savior at her home on Saturday evening, April 30, 2022.
Previously attending Immanuel Baptist, she recently attended Central Wesleyan Church. She was a nurse’s aide at local nursing homes and a homemaker. Her passions were her faith, family, baking, and coffee “klatschin’” with family and friends around the kitchen table. Myra was famous for her spread of homemade sweets at coffee gatherings and parties. She will be deeply missed. Myra was preceded in death by her dearly loved husband, James Tyink Jr.; brother, Roger Beekman, and sister Elaine Ooms.
Myra is survived by her children; John (Cheryl) Tyink of Ethel, MO, and Sandy (Gary) Van Ravenswaay of Holland, MI; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ross) VanDerKooi, A.J.Tyink, Amanda Tyink, Jennifer (Kyle) Kreps, Bri (Emmanuel) Martinez, Jimmy Van Ravenswaay, and Danny Van Ravenswaay; five great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Lois) Beekman and sister Mary (Dave) Kaniff; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will take place at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 6, in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Mulder Chapel – Dykstra Funeral Home, 188 West 32nd Street, Holland.
