Phyllis J. Lemson, age 93 of Holland, stepped into Heaven on April 29, 2022, and is now enjoying a restored mind while reuniting with many family members and friends and most importantly glorifying and praising God forever!
Phyllis was born in Holland, Michigan to Herman and Ethel Windemuller in 1928. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and office manager for several area doctors. She loved reading, traveling, bird watching, and enjoyed listening to music. She also enjoyed trying her hand at various crafts and hobbies, which included sewing, gardening, needlework, and ballroom dancing. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially when hosting holiday parties and picnics. She was a loving wife to Robert for 52 years and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2001; daughter, Yvonne Fiorenzo; sons, Michael Lemson, Steven Lemson; son-in-law, Jerome Fiorenzo; brothers, Chuck Windemuller, Stan Windemuller; sisters, Elizabeth (Richard) Rhoda, Norma (Robert) Rhoda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cathryn (Henry) Gebben, Henry (Marion) Lemson, Pearl (Arnold) Appledorn, and Eleanor (Roy) Post.
She is survived by her children, Julie Lemson, Jim (Linda) Lemson, Rebecca (Steve) Bredeweg; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Marcia Lemson, Janet Lemson; sisters-in-law, Norma Windemuller, Hazel Windemuller, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 W 32nd Street, Holland. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11:00 am, also at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Holland or Resthaven Maplewoods.
