SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, May 2, 2022) – Spring “Junk” Pick up service is happening, now through May 5, 2022 in the City of Saugatuck. Items may be placed curbside now and no later than May 5. Items placed out after May 5 will not be picked up by city crews and will be the property owners responsibility to dispose of properly.
ACCEPTABLE “JUNK” ITEMS
General household “junk” items:
- *Couches
- *Screens
- *Rugs
- *Tables
- *Shelving
- *Bikes
- *Chairs
- *Tools
- *Grills
- *Desks
- *Swing Sets
- *Lamps
- *Lawn Equipment *etc.
UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS
Materials NOT ACCEPTED include, but not limited to the following:
- *Lead Acid Batteries
- *Tires
- *Paint
- *Yard Waste
- *Household Hazardous Waste
- *Liquids (of any kind)
- *Radioactive Materials
- *Barrels/Drums (which are not emptied and crushed)
- *Compressed Gas Cylinders (which are not empty and disabled)
- *Any Appliance containing Freon
- *Food/Garbage Waste
- *Medical Waste
- *Construction/Remodeling Debris
