Emilia Rivera, age 95 of Holland, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Holland Hospital.

Emilia was born in San Francisco, CA, August 19, 1926 to Jesus and Maria (de la Luz Alvarez) Rivera. She worked for Chris Craft for many years and will be remembered by family and friends as a strong Christian woman.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maria De La Luz Hernandez; 2 sons, Felipe Garcia and Jose Santos Hernandez; and a son-in-law Guillermo Martinez.

Emilia is survived by her children, Arturo (Loretta) Gomez, Alicia G. Martinez, Raul (Elsa Alisea) Gomez, and Abel Garcia; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate Emilia’s life is being planned. Burial will be in North Holland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her honor can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
