Leona Ruth Eding (Gebben) age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2022.
She was born on October 13, 1928, in Holland, Michigan to Lambert and Rena Gebben.
After being widowed at a young age, Leona went on to raise her 5 children through perseverance, hard work, and faith. For many years she worked as a nurse’s aide with a servant’s heart for the elderly. She treasured her time spent with family and embraced every moment. Her consistent warmth, joy, and friendship will be deeply missed.
Leona enjoyed leisure time spent with her many friends, church groups, activities at Evergreen Commons, bingo at the DAV, card nights, and many volunteer roles within the community. Her hands were rarely idle; she was a highly skilled knitter, crocheter, cross stitcher, puzzler, and an avid reader. She enjoyed baking breads for her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Terry and Marie Eding, daughter-in-law Carla Eding, Bob and Karen Eding, Kathy Nichols and Rick Colella, Connie and Barry Immink; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
