HAMILTON, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 29, 2022) – The search for Dave Tebo’s replacement continues in Hamilton.
The school board there will hold second public interview sessions this Saturday, April 30, at Hamilton Middle School’s media center off of 136th Avenue, with two finalists for the district’s superintendent’s position. Doug Greer, the director of school improvement with the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, goes before the panel at 8 AM, with Brad Lusk, Fowlerville High’s principal since 2012, answering questions about 90 minutes later. The two emerged from a first go-round of talks with the board last Saturday that weeded out two other hopefuls. Both Greer and Lusk toured the district’s facilities this week ahead of these final interviews.
Hamilton Community Schools is looking to replace Dave Tebo, who announced his intentions in mid-February to step down at the end of the Academic Year on June 30th to become director of innovative services with the OAISD. He was the region’s longest-serving school chief at the time of this decision, moving from Michigan Center in Jackson County to Allegan County in 2011.
The district hasn’t said yet when the board will make a final decision on a new superintendent.
