“Open Call” Issued for This Summer’s Downtown Street Performer Series

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 25, 2022) – It’s full speed ahead for a summer tradition in downtown Holland.

The Downtown Holland agency announced on Monday an Open Call for performing artists and groups to participate in the 2022 Street Performer Series. Held Thursday evenings from June 16^th through August 18^th, the two-hour window that begins at 6:30 PM features a wide variety of performing acts and artistical attractions. It was a casualty of COVID 19 health protocols in 2020, and was held with some limitations last year.

Downtown Holland announced that major funding for the effort will be provided by exclusive sponsor Gentex, with the Zeeland-based specialty parts maker’s contribution augmented by a $1,400 grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs through the Holland Area Arts Council.
