GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 20, 2022) – Three persons were injured in a two-SUV crash near Grand Haven on Tuesday night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Jon Smoes, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to Lincoln Street at 144th Avenue at 7:10 PM. That’s where a westbound vehicle, driven by a 65-year-old Grand Haven woman, apparently drove through a stop sign and crashed into a southbound vehicle, driven by a 56-year-old Grand Haven woman who did have the right of way.
The older woman and a 65-year-old male passenger in her vehicle had to be extricated by rescue workers and sought their own treatment for minor ailments. The other driver was taken to an undisclosed hospital with what Smoes only said were non-life threatening injuries.
No names of the motorists were disclosed as the collision remains under investigation.
