HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 20, 2022) – Multiple Grand Marshals for the two parades in the 2022 Tulip Time Festival were announced on Wednesday.
The Gentex Kinderparade on Thursday, May 12 will be led by members of the Holland Rotary, whose planned 100-year anniversary celebration in 2020 was ruined by the COVID 19 outbreak, and by current and past Alumni Dutch Dance Director, spotlighted by Anne Mulder and Elizabeth TerHaar.
Members of the 2022 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament Winners Hope Flying Dutch will have the honor of leading the Quality Car Wash Volksparade on Saturday, May 14th, along with the Holland American Legion Band, another group that had its 100-year celebration spoiled by the novel coronavirus.
Tickets for special grandstand seating near the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place are available from the Tulip Time website, while those wishing to set up shop along the curbs of the parade route are reminded that the earliest these first come-first serve spots can be taken up is 6 AM on the morning of each parade, with blankets and lawn chairs taken up no later than an hour after its conclusion.
