MANILUS TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 16, 2022) – An early Saturday morning head-on crash north of Fennville led to the death of a 26-year-old man.
According to Allegan County Sheriff’s Sergeant Mike Martin, deputies and other first responders were dispatched around 4:20 AM to 58th Street near 130th Avenue. That was where a southbound vehicle apparently crossed over the center line and struck a northbound vehicle, whose driver, Anthony Dolmas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The unnamed at-fault motorist was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and with Martin saying that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, that motorist may be headed afterwards to the Allegan County Jail pending arraignment in Allegan District Court. Each vehicle had one passenger inside, both of whom were not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
