She is survived by her children: Alan and Maria Visser, Brian Visser, and Greg and Suzanne Visser; her grandchildren: Matt and Jada Visser, Nick and Jeni Visser, Tanya Visser, Nathan, and Rachael Visser, Conlin and Jamie Britton, Kyle and Noella Britton, Sydney Visser, Nolan Visser, Kevin and Jill Fethke, Danny Gingrich, Jackie Gingrich, Josh Butler, and Jeremy Butler; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Elly was preceded in death by her husband Vern Butler, her son Mike Butler and her grandson Tyler Butler.
Elly immigrated to the United States from the Netherlands in 1955. Elly and her husband Vern established Zeeland Hardware in 1978 where she worked for almost 50 years until the age of 92. She attended Second Reformed Church for 60 where she was very active.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm Friday, April 15, 2022, at Second Reformed Church, 225 East Central Avenue, Zeeland. The memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, also at the church. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Second Reformed Church or Spectrum Health Hospice. www.yntemafh.com
