Wayne never met a stranger. Despite being a quiet and introverted man, everybody who had a conversation with him walked away loving him. Wayne was born in Missouri and moved to Allegan, MI later in life where he worked at Truheat Corporation for many years. It was also here where he successfully coached Little League Baseball. In 1978, he moved back to Arkansas and worked at Darling Corporation for 30 years before retiring. His family was very proud of how hard he worked.
Wayne served our country from 1966-to 1969 in the US Army, stationed in Germany and Korea. He loved his family and will be remembered for his simple nature and an avid love for reading, especially Western and Sci-Fi books.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Duty, who also served our country during WWII.
He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Duty; siblings: Mary (Bill) Kircher, Russ (Nancy) Duty, Roger (Sharon) Duty; and many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Private family services are being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be given in Wayne’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. www.langelandsterenberg.com.
