LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Apr. 5, 2022) – An Allegan County Road Commissioner has become the leader of the County Road Association of Michigan.
Larry Brown had spent four decades working for the ACRC as a licensed professional engineer, including a six-year stint as its managing director, before retiring in 2017. He was then appointed to the Commission Board by the Allegan County Board, with a current six-year term running through 2024.
The County Road Association represents all 83 county road entities statewide in addressing transportation infrastructure issues, claiming that county agencies manage 75 percent of all roads in Michigan and 63 percent of state highways.
Brown began his duties as CRA President last Friday.
