Jerry was a loving husband, deeply cared for his children and grandchildren and they loved their “Papa”. He started (45 years ago) and owned JR Bouwkamp & Associates which his son continues to operate. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed travel. He was the co-founder of the West Michigan Bow Hunters SCI Chapter and a life member of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, White Tails Unlimited, and the National Wild Turkey Foundation. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, AJ Bouwkamp; daughter, Kelli (Scott) Beyer; son, Kerry (Diane) Bouwkamp; daughter, Kristine (Todd) Kane; daughter, Tamara (Brian) Brunsell; grandchildren, Nicole (Jordan) Beelen, Megan (Ryan Dreyer) Beyer, Anthony (Jesseca) Kane, Jade (Michael) Pietrangelo, Jacob Bouwkamp, Zachary Bouwkamp; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Bouwkamp; brother-in-law, Capt. Randall (Diane) Jansen; brother-in-law, Rev. Ben (Carol) Jansen Jr.; sister-in-law, Delores Bouwkamp; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will serve as the gathering to celebrate Jerry’s life and is scheduled for 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland, MI 49423.
Burial to take place in Graafschap Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Jerry’s honor to Holland Christian Schools.
