HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 27, 2022) – With six weeks to go before the start of Holland’s annual signature event, more and more attractions have been announced by the Tulip Time Festival.
Those who wish to have a little of the star of the show at home can purchase tulip pots through the festival’s website. These pots are 10 inches in diameter and contained 10 tulip bulbs that organizers say will bloom into a “surprise” color, bulbs that can be reused next year as well. The Pre-Festival Tulip Sale benefits future festival programs and events. Purchases can be picked up at the City of Holland’s Parks Department from April 21st through the 23rd, and purchasers cannot pick their colors nor exchange their pots.
The Carnival Midway returns to the north lot of the Eighth Street Marketplace adjacent to the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place, and the Festival has assumed operating the Dutch Costume Resale. VIP Walking Tours are also back, and the 2022 Tulip Time Quilt Raffile is held at the Apothecary Gift Shop (corner of West 8th Street and River Avenue), beginning on April 19th.
Finally, the Tulip Time Artisan Market has moved from Centennial Park downtown to the Beechwood Church off of Ottawa Beach Road west of River Avenue on Holland’s North Side. It joins the Quilt Show there, as that exhibit has moved from the Holland Area Arts Council building.
More information on all of these events is available here. The Tulip Time Festival runs from May 7th through the 15th.
