John Carl Boersema Jr., age 55, of Holland, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, surrounded by his family.
John was born in Holland, Michigan to John and Nancy Boersema on October 31, 1966. John was a resident of Holland for most of his life. After meeting the love of his life, Maria Schwedt they moved to the same house John grew up where they raised a beautiful and strong family. John was a God-fearing man that loved the Lord. He was a true family man and always put his family before himself. Though he worked the third shift for most of his life, John rarely missed any of his children’s sporting and school events. He was always there. John was a loyal, dedicated, witty, and hardworking man. He loved the outdoors and going on canoe trips, camping, and being out by the fire with friends when he was younger and then taking his family all over the Upper Peninsula. As he grew older, he enjoyed grilling out on the patio and making sure everyone had more than enough to eat. Everyone will miss his chicken drumsticks. He loved Michigan Football and was always one of the first fans to be at the stadium and one of the last fans to leave. John loved tailgating at the Michigan games with his lifelong friends and family. He had many friends that were made early in his life that he kept until his last day. John was always there to lend a helping hand and would talk your ear off if you let him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
