HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 20, 2022) – An exhibit tied into March being Women’s History Month is slated for Hope College’s Kruizenga Art Museum.
From March 1st through April 9th, the gallery on Columbia Avenue between 10th and 13th streets will present “Resilience,” featuring works of art that the Holland-based school of higher education says represents, “the strength and resilience of women throughout time and changing circumstances. Labels for the artworks and a brief statement introducing the exhibition were written by members of (Hope College’s Women of Color United), illuminating the thoughts behind their selections for the exhibition.”
In conjunction with the exhibit, the WOCU will present a discussion and reception on Friday, March 11th, from 5 to 7 PM at the Museum. “Resilience: Women Through the Ages” will feature comments from Dr. Erika Calvo-Ochoa, assistant professor of biology and neuroscience at Hope, as well as Yoli Vega, the senior academic and career advisor with the Boerigter Center for Calling and Career. This event is open the public with free admission.
