HAMILTON, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 14, 2022) – A place for those in northwest Allegan County to bring recyclables will close at month’s end.
The Allegan County Health Department announced last week that, “based upon input from participating local units of government and discussions with Republic Services … who owns the Regional Recyling Depot Site at 3310 Lincoln Road (M-40) … the site will permanently close, effective March 1, 2022.”
The Resource Recovery Program “provides site services for difficult to recycle materials through services agreement with community partners,” ACHD officials said in a statement. “Regional Recycling Depot Site participants have access to recycling services through community partnerships with Broken Arrow Recycling (1100 Lincoln Rd, Allegan) and Salem Township Transfer Station (4145 29th Street, Dorr).”
The department added that Republic Services plans to sell the Hamilton property, and for more information on the program, click here.
