HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 7, 2022) – After over 15 years, Patrick Moran is taking on a new challenge.
The President of the United Way of Ottawa & Allegan Counties has stepped down to become the Chief Executive Office at 70×7 Life Recovery. “My 15+ years at United Way have been the most rewarding in my entire career, both personally and professionally.” Moran said in a statement issued by the two agencies this past Friday in announcing his immediate departure. “Our staff, Board, local partners, and volunteers have been able to make positive changes in the lives of tens of thousands of community residents. It has been truly phenomenal, and I’m proud to have been a part of it.”
Moran assumes operational leadership of a 26-year-old agency that serves Allegan, Kent and Ottawa counties in providing instruction, guidance and employment opportunities to those who have been released from incarceration. He takes over for Tom Koning, who left “to focus on other business ventures,” according to that joint statement.
During Moran’s tenure, the Greater Ottawa County United Way moved its base of operations from Grand Haven to the Holland area and assumed operational control of the Allegan County United Way, among other achievements by the agency. The United Way board named a past board chairman, Randy Kortering as Interim President, with applications for a permanent replacement accepted later in the spring.
